DNT-cabins in Hardangervidda
Hardangervidda National Park is the largest national park in Norway. This vast mountain plateau offers excellent hiking opportunities for both seasoned hikers and recreational hikers. The national park has a wide network of trails for summer hikes and winter skiing.
Staffed lodges
Staffed lodges are run by hosts. Your food is served to you, and you can spend the night in a two-bed or multiple-bed room, or in a dormitory. The lodges are of a good, simple standard with electricity, showers and a drying room for your hiking gear.

Great views and trails in all directions. Located in the heart of the Hardangervidda plateau.
Krækkja
The first DNT cabin on the Hardangervidda plateau, steeped in history and near old settlements.
Haukeliseter
The lodge is open all year and is situated beside a year-round open road crossing the Haukeli mountains.
Mogen Turisthytte
Of the oldest DNT cabins on the plateu. Beside Møsvatn lake, the cabin serves as a gateway to Hardangervidda.
Kalhovd Turisthytte
This lodge is in a beautiful setting on the Kalhovdfjord south-east on the Hardangervidda plateau.
Mårbu Turisthytte
At the northern end of the lake Mår, the cabin is set in gentle, undulating terrain.
Rauhelleren
Incredible views to both the east and west from this cabin beside Langesjøen lake.
Solheimstulen Turisthytte
The lodge is situated innermost in Jønndalen valley in Uvdal, at the foot of Hardangervidda National Park.
Self-service cabins
Self-service cabins vary in size, from 5 to around 50 beds. The cabins are equipped with duvets and pillows, and cooking facilities with pots and plates etc., and firewood. You can buy food from a well-stocked range of food items; dinner options, sandwich toppings, crackers, coffee and tea etc. The cabins are locked with DNT’s standard key, and may have a warden during the season.
